The Estate
Domaine Fouet is a sixth-generation family estate in Saint-Cyr-en-Bourg at the heart of Saumur-Champigny. Julien Fouet now directs the domaine, combining established family practices with a modern range that includes Saumur-Champigny, Saumur Blanc, rosé, Crémant de Loire and pétillant naturel.
Vineyard
The domaine farms roughly 20 to 23 hectares around Saumur-Champigny. Vineyard work follows certified organic standards, with the estate's conversion completed in 2020. The family works within the limestone-rich Saumur landscape, where Cabernet Franc and Chenin Blanc are the principal varieties.
Sustainability
Certified organic (Agriculture Biologique / Ecocert) since 2020.
Cellar & People
The domaine describes its approach as a balance of modern technique and ancestral know-how. The range spans classic still wines and more experimental bottlings such as pétillant naturel, while the estate's historic troglodyte cellar connects present-day production to centuries of local wine culture.
