The Estate

Françoise Feuillat-Juillot grew up in a winegrowing family, studied international trade, then returned to Burgundy to train in enology at the University of Dijon. She joined a Montagny estate in 1989, gradually expanded production, took over management after her associate's death in 2002, and purchased the domaine in 2004. Her daughter Camille joined the estate as an associated grower in 2021, bringing another generation into the family business.

Vineyard

The domaine is rooted in Montagny-les-Buxy, the southernmost appellation of the Côte Chalonnaise, where Chardonnay is the defining grape. The estate emphasizes the differences among individual Montagny terroirs, including Premier Cru sites such as Les Coères and Les Burnins, and farms with close attention to soil work and vine balance.

Sustainability

Sustainable viticulture with focused soil work and exclusively hand-harvested fruit. Certain individual cuvées are made according to organic principles; do not present the entire estate as certified organic.

Cellar & People

All grapes are harvested by hand and winemaking is adapted to each cuvée rather than forced into one formula. The range includes classic Montagny and Premier Cru bottlings alongside small-production experiments such as wines fermented and aged in terracotta jar. Françoise manages production from vineyard to bottle with a small team, with the stated goal of preserving the character of each terroir.
