The Estate
The Fouquerand family has deep roots in La Rochepot, with local family history documented back to 1629. Denis Fouquerand developed the modern estate from 1970, and his son Laurent took over in 2008. After Denis's death, Laurent converted the domaine to organic farming, receiving certification in 2013.
Vineyard
The domaine covers about 18 hectares of high-trained vineyards centered around La Rochepot. All parcels are farmed without pesticides or chemical herbicides; soils are worked mechanically, and sulfur and copper are the principal vineyard treatments used against disease.
Sustainability
Certified organic since 2013. No pesticides or chemical herbicides; mechanical soil work with sulfur and copper used for vine protection.
Cellar & People
Harvest is manual and bunches are sorted in the vineyard and cellar. Fruit is transported in perforated crates to limit crushing. Whites are handled cold before settling, with sulphur added only after malolactic fermentation. Reds are fully destemmed, macerated for about 15 days, then pressed and aged for roughly 12 months in oak before bottling.
