The Estate
Domaine Chante-Perdrix was founded in 1896 by Étienne Pécoul and passed through successive generations of the family. Today Faustine and Franck Nicolet represent the fifth generation, continuing the estate across 20 hectares in Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
Vineyard
The domaine's vineyards are rooted in the famous rounded Rhône stones of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, with vines averaging about 45 years of age. Grenache is central to the estate, joined by Syrah, Mourvèdre, Muscardin, Clairette and other traditional appellation varieties.
Sustainability
Cellar & People
The core red Chante-Perdrix blend is currently 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 15% Mourvèdre and 5% Muscardin. The white is 50% Grenache Blanc and 50% Clairette. The family also bottles varietal cuvées including 100% Grenache, 100% Mourvèdre and 100% Clairette, using the cellar to show different facets of the estate's Châteauneuf terroir.
